To The Airport, My Good Man!
James Dalton

Yes, this is an overdue little blog. Folks, it's been an exciting couple weeks and since I am in a big rush to the Newark Airport, I'll have to just give a few shout outs to some of the highlights.

Thanks Daniel Coleman, my Chorus and Verse blogging colleague, for having me on on Rock On Radio. It was a blast and his show is really something special.

Mike Andre, in Black Rock, put together a couple of well-attended shows up in CT, as well as a nice afternoon sailing on the Long Island Sound.

Caught Backyard Tire Fire at the Saint in Asbury the other night and they were pretty bad-ass.

Later on in the evening almost got in a bar fight with the town drunk (a nice cap to an evening of rock 'n' roll).

Got my 12 string back, the first guitar I ever really got back in '91, from Curly over at Raritan Bay Guitar Repair and I am excited to get it back into stage set up, and to get it in the studio this summer.

Booked a three-day fest out in Oregon, became part of a really great band's lineup when they play on Bleecker Street, got invited to do some shows down in Barbados this summer and I decided to maybe trim the beard in a couple weeks when I return from Europe.

Yes! I am headed to the airport in a little bit because tomorrow starts the Silent Station Tour with dates in Germany and the Czech Republic. It's been ages since I have been to either country, and usually this first week of May is such a picturesque time to be in places like Prague and Nurnberg, on just on the train through the German countryside.

I have a lot of things in store other than just delivering the best shows that I can.

First, we are going to try to record as many shows as we can and, with luck, I can take some of the best material to Asbury Media (whom I trust) and then to Bands on a Budget (with whom I look forward to working) to put together a live release as a free download. More on that later...

Also, the really exciting thing, other than all the video and pictures and stories that I will try to post here on Chorus and Verse on a daily basis, I am engaging myself in a "Postcards From Europe" campaign. If you'd like to receive one, click on over to...

So, with that, it's off to the airport for me to land in Hamburg. I've got a couple shows to do with Cosmic Finger and then the adventure continues...

Thanks for reading and please fee free to send any comments or questions to me, or if you want a postcard, to
