Lazy Mondays. Somehow or other, even though I try to portray myself as this busy, overly productive guy, I usually find myself on most Monday evenings mucking about on the Internet, gobbling up a whole watermelon one quarter at a time, and watching cop shows like CSI: Miami, which I LOVE, by the way, and, basically, I cannot get myself to go out of my flat and make something of the night. There are open mics, jam sessions, places to go, people to see, etc, etc. I mean, this is NYC. How can anyone sit at home and do nothing here? Well, like I said, somehow or other, I do, and I generally "don't do" on Mondays.
Regardless of my Monday Malaise, I still managed to feel a little productive today. Well, some weeks back, I dropped in on the fledgling NYC branch of Balcony TV, this really cool web channel that uses YouTube to broadcast music, live music in really cool surroundings. Now, I may have mentioned Balcony TV in this blog in the past, due to an appearance on their Hamburg branch.
Anyway, in the middle of my boring-assed eve of watermelon and CSI: Miami, I got an email letting
me know that my NYC performance had been posted. I am pretty stoked about it. I used an old song of
mine, "Come Back to the Jersey Shore," and, with any luck, it'll end up on TMZ as the background the
next time Snooki gets popped with some drunken annoyance charge.
Either way, I am really excited to share this vid with you all, from the rooftops of midtown.
