A day and half into this thing, this strange adventure... well, I can't really call it that yet.
This is still just a bunch of driving with some little stops.
Sure, I am traveling through new places and seeing things I've never had the chance to see, or
haven't in many, many years, but I am just getting started. Splashing my feet in the unseasonably
warm Lake Erie (I was close to changing into a suit and jumping in completely), catching the sun set
behind Chicago, standing with Lake Michigan behind me and the planetarium to my left, enjoying the
award of a speeding ticking just near the end of Wisconsin after a strange but tasty enough dinner
in Rockford, Illinois.
Today will be long. I've got about 17-18 hours to go before I am at my first destination, but
that's alright, I've got music to listen to and beautiful scenery to gaze at. Speaking of music, my
next entry here will be filled with some comments on Rick Barry's last EP, the Denmark Vesey's
release, the American Babies, and Quincy Mumford's debut, all of which came out a while ago, but I
am just getting to. I'll get some more, soon, probably in Salt Lake City, but in the meantime,
that's what I am working with.
Anyway, if you've got any suggestions on where to go in Yellowstone, send them along, or if
you've heard the artists I mentioned and want to preempt my review with your own, please feel free
to make a comment.
