On the way back East, and I've only got time to type this quickly...
So I am waking in Kansas, my first time in this state, I'm sure, and I can't wait to see the surroundings as I munch on some quick breakfast from the car. Yesterday, I was in Moab, Utah which sits in the middle of three outdoor adventurists paradises, Canyonlands, Arches National Park and the Colorado River Recreation area, making Moab an outdoor hipster's hideaway.
The sun is bright, the people are young and chill and if you wake up hungry for something interesting to eat, head to Lovemuffin's on the main drag. I had the best muffin in my life, the Breakfast muffin, which was blueberry, maple, and yes, bacon. Mmmmmm. Also on the menu was your basic breakfast sandwiches, coffees, etc. and a whole lot of excited people on their way out to do some extreme cycling, white watering, or some intense off-roading.
I'll keep all this mind today, as I drive through the Midwest on I-70, with a stop in Kansas City for some BBQ and, with luck, I'll make it to Indianapolis.
I've got lots to think about other than the adventurers of yesterday. I have been asked to sing at my cousin's wedding this Saturday in Point Pleasant Beach and, even though I haven't done anything like it in ages, I am supposed to be singing "Ave Maria". It'll be a challenge, and I hope I can learn it while I drive (!), but there you go.
I am sure I'll have more to say tomorrow, as I approach the Eastern Time Zone, so let me get up and get a move on...
