| Slayer |
| The Scariest, Heaviest Band Ever |
| by Steven DiLodovico |
| Slayer is the scariest, heaviest band ever. This is not a topic for debate; this is metal rule number one. Slayer is so badass that you can't even say their name: you have to crush the dual-syllable malediction into one long, monosyllabic oath and bellow it like a pillaging Cossack. Back in the '80s, when parents were suing Ozzy because he told their kids to worship Satan, Slayer was convincing the cooler kids to carve their pentagrams in their flesh. Slayer is the kind of band that will kick your favorite band's ass and laugh while they're doing it. Believe that. |

| Margaret Cho |
| Her Debut CD And "Cho Dependent" Tour |
| by Michael Shinafelt |
| Margaret Cho. Her name brings many things to mind: comedy, movies, television, author, reality star, political activist. Whatever the image, Margaret breaks all boundaries and stereotypes. In short, she has almost done it all, until now. Margaret's final frontier is music. So, it should come as no surprise her latest effort is a 14-track (13 + a bonus) CD titled "Cho Dependent," adding singer, songwriter and guitar player to her resume. |

| The Pixies |
| The "Doolittle" 20th Anniversary Tour |
| by Steven DiLodovico |
| Enough has been said about The Pixies to fill volumes of high-minded overly-expressive rock journalism tomes for decades. Their history is well known, their legacy is undeniable and the influence that they've continued to hold over guitar-based rock bands is as palpable now as it was in the early '90s. The Pixies are your favorite band's favorite band and throughout their mercurial existence they managed to inspire the Nirvana-induced glut of alternative music that exploded in early '90s pop culture. |

| by Michael Shinafelt |
| Erin Hamilton was born with performing in her soul. As the daughter of actress/comedian Carol Burnett and composer/producer Joe Hamilton, how could she not be? She first burst onto the dance club scene with a rousing cover of the Gary Wright song "Dreamweaver". It was a smash and Erin has been making sweet pretty music ever since. |

| Getting Underneath Her Latest Single |
| by Michael Shinafelt |
| Singer/dancer and self-proclaimed "theatre geek" Lauren Hildebrandt first caught the public's attention by landing in the Top 12 of the televised national talent competition "Fame." From there "Hildy" (her official nickname) took her talents to the dance floor with the Billboard hit singles "Burnin' Out" and "My Life Again." After her success with dance music, "Hildy" decided to branch out into the world of pop with her first full-length album "Not Really A Waitress" which unleashed the hit single "Boyshorts." |

| Danny Coleman |
| Musician/Radio Show Host |
| It's been said that if you know Asbury Park, NJ, then you must know AL-VIS! Deemed a local legend, VIS has been an integral part of the Asbury Park music scene for the better part of four decades. It may be easier to mention the Jersey shore-area musicians that this guitarist hasn't played along side of rather then the ones that he has. |

| Yes, I work at a blues club in Manhattan and, yes, I like and have been playing blues music for a long time; but I have decided to take it a step further. Because I don't think of myself as a good writer, I'll spare you all at an attempt to introduce this idea cleverly, or with any poetics. |
