Due to circumstances beyond our control, all of the work by Hans van Bentem and Hans Withoos, arriving from the Netherlands, is being held up at customs for examination, and will not arrive on time for our original opening date of June 8th. We at art629 are very sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused, and look forward to seeing you on our new opening date of June 16th. We hope that you can make this amazing exhibit prepared by these two wonderful artists.
This month's exhibition will feature the work of two renowned artists hailing from the Netherlands, sculptor Hans van Bentem, and photographer Hans Withoos. This show is presented as a collaboration between art629 Gallery and NL=US Art Consultancy (Netherlands/USA).
This will be the first time these Dutch artists will exhibit in New Jersey and only the second time their work will be seen in the United States.
The combination of the monumental but whimsical sculptural work by Hans van Bentem, and the abundance and artifice photography by Hans Withoos, makes an extraordinary and very interesting exhibition.
Both van Bentem and Withoos have shown extensively throughout Europe, in both major galleries and museums, and van Bentem currently has an overview exhibit at Gemeente Museum in The Hague, Netherlands.
